In January 2025, we embarked on a strategic visioning process to develop the next campus strategic framework that will guide our future. Central to this effort is the thoughtful engagement of our entire campus community, allowing us to leverage the many different perspectives and views that make this university great.
To begin the process, the Visioning Committee, a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students from across the university, created initial concepts for the next strategic framework.
Throughout April, the campus community was invited to engage in the process through a survey and a series of community conversations about the initial concepts. Next, the Visioning Committee will present the initial concepts to Chancellor Mnookin, along with a summary of campus feedback and considerations based on that feedback. The chancellor will consider this input and feedback as the work to develop the university’s next strategic framework continues.
Together, we are creating a transformative vision that will enable us to fully realize our mission, advance our priorities, and position UW–Madison as a leader in addressing the challenges of our time.
